Santa Catalina Island – Beach Day Tour

Our adventure begins in Mutis Port, 24 km south of the city of Santiago de Veraguas, where we board one of our boats and sail along the waters of the San Pedro River, a journey of about 60 minutes where we will cross its brackish waters and find lush mangrove forests and wildlife until leaving the Gulf of Montijo and navigating along the Veraguense coast of the Pacific until reaching Santa Catalina Island, located in front of Santa Catalina town and famous for its majestic waves coveted by surfers worldwide.

Santa Catalina is a fishing village that becomes a surf town on the Pacific Coast of Panama. The chill, laid-back vibes of Santa Catalina, along with world-class waves, attract surfers and beachgoers from around the world. 

Santa Catalina Island, or Isla Catalina, as it is known locally, is a beautiful island sitting just off the coast from Santa Catalina in Veraguas. On the island, we enjoy calm waters and white sand; it’s a great place to grab a tan and hang out in the sun for a while and offers a spectacular view of the Santa Catalina town.
If you wish, we can reach the edge of town where you can take a walk and know the place, even renting a surfboard or hiring a dive instructor to learn about the underwater beauties of the area surrounding the Coiba National Park.
Even if the place is full of magic, we can coordinate extending your stay for the days you like and have the opportunity to learn everything this paradise has to be discovered, such as whale watching, dolphins, and the famous whale shark.
