The Coiba National Park is internationally recognized for being a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, for its dark history as Prison Island, because 80% of its territory remains virgin, without human intervention and that it houses exotic species, some still undiscovered and the most common for its beautiful beaches with crystal clear waters and white sand.

What almost nobody knows is one of the 10 best places in the world to do professional diving, its underwater megafauna is impressive, giant manta rays, bull and hammer sharks, whale sharks (the largest fish in the world), it is the sanctuary of abundant Sea turtles (almost all of them in danger of extinction) and playful dolphins, can be seen throughout the year and from July to October the humpback whales visit our coasts, to give us a show that amazes everyone.

Coiba Offer the Best Snorkel Experience

Coiba is one of the wildest places in Central America

The impressive thing about all this is that, without being a certified diver, you can live an unparalleled experience that will mark you for life. With a simple mask and snorkel fins, you can enter a world unknown to most mortals. It is a world of intense colors and of hundreds of thousands of inhabitants, the 1,700 hectares of coral reefs that the Coiba National Park has been full of amazing underwater life.

When you enter this parallel world you will feel part of it, most of the thousands of colorful fish will continue to swim unnoticed by your presence, they will even swim around you, the sea turtles will allow you a “selfie” and small species of sharks will appear from between the rocks to steal your breath, do not worry, we are not on their menu.

Without a doubt, Panama has much to show its international visitors, from all over the world, even most of us who live in this small country, we do not know that there are magical places to visit, a few hours from our homes and above all, very accessible.
