Puerto Mutis (Mutis Port) can not be left out of the agenda of anyone who wants to know the province of Veraguas, tourism or those who come to this land bathed by two seas to make business or work trips.
It is considered the gateway to the Gulf of Montijo and departure point to the paradisiacal islands of the Pacific veragüense.

Puerto Mutis live about 160 people who are mostly engaged in fishing as a livelihood and other commercial and livestock activities.

Boats, boats, barges, industrial fishing boats and yachts are observed daily arriving. Some are loaded with marine products obtained in the waters of the Pacific coast, others transport locals and tourists, and other boats are used for safety operations on the coast.
One of the advantages of this place is that it is located near the head of Montijo and only 25 minutes from the city of Santiago. There are bus routes with units in very good condition with a continuous service for those who want to visit this community.
Puerto Mutis is also frequented by people who come to taste different dishes that are prepared in local restaurants, which specialize in fresh seafood.
