Panama Whale and Dolphin Watching Day Tour

Every year between July and November, Veraguas live a party when the Humpback Whales coming to our shore. In just one hour we can see tails, fins if we are lucky we will see beautiful jumps and amazing stunts like no others no matters their 50 tons and 18 meters long.

Approximately two thousand humpback whales come to the poles looking our warm waters is a unique journey of 10,000 kilometers, is the longest migration do for any mammal.

Many whales use the coast of Panama to mate and others to give birth to their young, called calves, and follow your long way road, whales usually move in groups and communicate with amazing songs. At night from the shore, you can hear as they hit with their tails against the water.  Gulf of Montijo and the waters around Cebaco Island and Coiba National Park are hotspots for whale watching and marine wildlife experience.

Throughout the year it is very common to see aquatic shows courtesy of the playful bottlenose and spotted dolphins, sea turtles and other marine wild animals including migratory birds undoubtedly will be an unforgettable experience.

Our waters also inhabit the other 19 types of cetaceans, such as whales Bryde, who only momentarily rise to the surface. Sometimes arrive pilot whales, and rarely orcas. We also can watch whale sharks, manta rays, and sea turtles.

We are very respectful of wildlife and have very strict rules for sighting these majestic animals, so as not to disturb them, especially mothers and their little babies; so we regulate the sighting time and distance and follow other international recommendations, to make this a sustainable experience, since we want them to return every year.

Please note that humpback whales are wild animals and we are unable to predict their behavior, for this reason, we can not guarantee whale watching on all trips.  We do everything possible to give you a memorable experience.
